In this role, you will be a key player in our day-to-day operations—diagnosing faults, managing spare parts inquiries, and providing excellent service to our customers both in-person and over the phone. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Inspect, troubleshoot, electrical-test, and repair a wide range of small household appliances, with a heavy focus on domestic and premium coffee machines (specifically DeLonghi and Breville models).
- Customer Service & Phone Enquiries: Answer incoming phone calls, assist walk-in clients, discuss fault descriptions, and provide accurate repair updates or quotes.
- Parts Management: Handle parts inquiries from retail customers and trade clients, identify correct part numbers using schematics, check stock levels, and assist with parts sales.
- Autonomous Operations: Manage your own daily bench workflow, prioritize urgent repairs, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Residency Status: Must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. (Please include evidence of your work rights in your application).
- Proven Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience repairing small appliances, with demonstrated expertise in Breville and DeLonghi coffee machines (both manual and fully automatic models).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Relevant electrical restricted electrical license (REL) is highly desirable.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent verbal communication and professional phone manners. You must be comfortable explaining technical issues to everyday customers.
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to look up parts diagrams/schematics digitally and use a basic point-of-sale or workshop management system.
- Independence: A reliable, trustworthy work ethic with the ability to work completely unsupervised.
