We’re currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Queensland team on an initial 5-month contract to deliver a rail subway and platform upgrade project in Brisbane’s CBD.

About the Role
Reporting to the QLD General Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of a rail subway refurbishment and platform upgrade project from commencement of the next separable portion through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of project delivery from planning through to completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and site teams
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and procurement
- Monitor project performance, costs and reporting
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality and rail project requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors
- Identify and manage project risks while delivering on time and within budget
- Drive a positive safety culture across the project team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager delivering rail projects within a live/ operational environment
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capability
Qualifications and experience that would be advantageous for this role include:
- Rail Industry Worker (RIW), Safely Accessing Rail Corridor (SARC), Working In Electrified Territory (WET) and Fatigue training inducted
- Experience working within Queensland Rail (QR) or Cross River Rail (CRR) project environments and familiarity with their standards and access protocols
- Understanding of Queensland Rail Safety Environmental Management Systems (SEMS), Form C (Permit to Work) and Scheduled Corridor Access Systems (SCAS) procedures
- Prior exposure to station or platform refurbishment works within live operational rail environments
