About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities while supporting commercial analysis, operational reporting and business improvement initiatives across our warehouse and logistics operations.
This specialist role combines procurement, supplier management and purchasing with pricing analysis, reporting, process optimisation and operational planning to support business growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Source and procure goods, equipment and services to support warehouse and fulfilment operations.
* Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial arrangements to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
* Coordinate delivery, installation and commissioning of warehouse infrastructure, equipment and operational consumables.
* Develop and maintain service pricing and freight rate structures using cost-based methodologies.
* Analyse supplier invoices, overhead allocations and unit costs to support pricing and profitability decisions.
* Prepare and maintain recurring operational, commercial and performance reports for management.
* Analyse operational data including order volumes, productivity metrics, client KPIs and forecasting information.
* Conduct billing reconciliation activities to identify discrepancies and revenue assurance opportunities.
* Perform operational audits including warehouse space utilisation, inventory analysis and process reviews to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures, organisational frameworks and process improvement initiatives.
* Support strategic planning, resource allocation and workflow planning associated with business growth, major client implementations and system changes.
* Maintain procurement contracts, supplier records and procurement documentation.
* Coordinate external contractors, maintenance providers and service partners.
* Manage the collection, integrity and reporting of operational and business data.
About Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or supplier management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting business and operational data.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with reporting tools, business systems and accounting software such as Xero.
* Experience in process improvement, reporting and operational analysis.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
