Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter with a minimum of three years' post-trade experience working on mine sites in a shift fitter role.
In this role you will support the daily maintenance requirements of the surface and underground mining operations. You will be required to undertake unsupervised maintenance, installation, fault finding and repairs on both surface and underground plant and equipment.
This position is offered on 7 days on 7 days off, continuous shift roster.
Core responsibilities

Good knowledge and experience with underground equipment including crusher and conveyor systems
- Good knowledge and experience with a wide range of pumping systems

Highly developed problem-solving skills enabling you to respond to and resolve breakdown issues in an effective and efficient manner
- Attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Focussed commitment to safe work practices in compliance with site policy and procedures
- Reliable and cohesive team player willing to follow direction and work proactively with other teams
About you
You will have Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter) qualification and be proactive with a strong safety focus and have experience in heavy industry, fixed plant maintenance within a mining environment.
You have demonstrated experience with Sandvik crushers and screens, conveyors, ball mills, Warman pumps, and underground dewatering systems.
The successful candidate must also possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and be capable of working independently in breakdown situations.
