You will manage the planning and delivery of a diverse range of Built Form projects and contracts like City building refurbishments, community facilitates and playground developments, reserve asset installations including associated lighting works. Leading projects from procurement through to completion, you will ensure projects are planned and delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard in line with City policies, industry best practice and relevant legislation.
Working as part of a dynamic team you will provide specialised project management advice and support across the organisation. Key responsibilities include managing consultants and contractors, reviewing technical documentation, evaluating tenders and quotations, recommending to award contracts preparing project documentation and overseeing project budgets and reporting including reviewing of specialised consultant and architect specifications, drawings, contract documentation and communicate amendments.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience delivering construction projects, strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment. A qualification in project management, construction, engineering or a relevant trade is essential. Previous local government experience and knowledge of relevant legislation will be highly regarded.

- Demonstrated experience in managing and administering construction projects and contracts
- Diverse construction or trade experience and technical knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, cost control and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and tradespersons
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and drawings
- Ability to produce high-quality project scopes, specifications, estimates, budgets and contract documentation
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Degree, diploma or trade qualification in project management, construction, engineering or related field
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
We are offering a remuneration package from $102,707 to $110,461 per annum, depending on skills and experience and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
