The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing the deployment of new and updated information systems, applications, and infrastructure components into the production environment. The role ensures releases are delivered in a controlled, efficient, and low-risk manner, minimising disruption to business operations while maximising service quality and business value.
Plan, coordinate and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple environments, ensuring releases are planned, scheduled, communicated, and deployed in accordance with established release management processes and governance requirements.
Ensure release packages undergo independent testing and validation against approved test plans prior to deployment, reducing the risk of production incidents and service disruption.
Oversee the deployment of application, system, and infrastructure changes into operational environments, ensuring adherence to agreed procedures and minimising business impact.

Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess release effectiveness, confirm business objectives have been achieved, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement actions.
Evaluate actual service performance and operational outcomes following release implementation against expected results, verifying the success of the release and identifying opportunities for optimisation.
Monitor compliance with release management policies, standards, and processes, ensuring consistent application across all release activities.
Collaborate with change management, project delivery, testing, and operational teams to ensure releases are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organisational priorities.

Excellent planning skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain release schedules, balancing business requirements with operational and technical constraints.

Click apply, attach an up-to-date résumé (maximum 5 pages) and a cover letter (maximum 3 pages) addressing the 2 targeted questions below with a brief outline on how you meet the requirements of the role:
1. Describe the most complex or high-risk technology release you have led. What made the release particularly challenging, what governance, risk mitigation and decision-making approaches did you apply, and how did you balance delivery objectives with operational stability, stakeholder expectations and business continuity? Please include the outcome and any lessons learned.
Release management often requires making difficult decisions when business priorities, technical readiness, delivery capacity and risk tolerance are not aligned. Describe a situation where you had to resolve competing requirements or timelines across multiple stakeholders or delivery teams. How did you assess the trade-offs, determine release readiness, influence stakeholders with differing views, manage governance and escalation, and ensure the final decision protected both business outcomes and operational stability?
