As part of our growth initiative, we are looking to hire an Application Engineer to manage all aspects of LVA – X Energy systems design and project execution phases. The successful candidate will liaise with sales and bid management to produce viable x-Energy design and solutions in line with customer specifications, internal norms, and as per criteria supplied in contract reviews.
- Formulate x-Energy engineered solutions to meet Eaton’s contractual requirements and satisfy the customer as per the contractual agreement
- Preparation of drawings, SLD schematics and reports both within Eaton and to customers as required.
- Ensure the x-Energy designs/projects comply with relevant electrical and safety requirements.
- Gain customer approval/acceptance of all drawings submitted in conjunction with xEnergy Partner and Project Engineers
- Liaise with x-Energy Partners to get quotes for Eaton fronted projects
- Provide guidance as necessary to Eaton x-Energy partners and Estimators
- Liaise with customers on technical matters as designated by Sales or Bid Management
- Attend FAT for project execution if required.
- Comply with Eaton’s policies and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an application or design engineer for low voltage electrical switchboard
- AutoCAD experience, Proficient in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of the Australian Electrical Standards.
- Demonstrated experience in low voltage power distribution, ideally in switchboard manufacturing and assemblies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or related discipline.
