Pulse Community Assist is seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to join a supportive team in providing high quality care for a client with complex needs based in Oakleigh VIC. This role offers a supportive and extensive onboarding program with comprehensive paid training and peer shifts to ensure a smooth transition. This is a casual role offering regular shifts of up to 24 hours per week, with the potential for more hours to the right candidate. We are looking for support workers who are flexible and available to work a mix of morning, afternoon and active night shifts.
Key responsibilities
Work alongside a Registered nurse
Provide high-dependency personal care: showering, continence care, skin integrity management/pressure area care, and dignity-focused support
Meal preparation
Domestic duties and managing household tasks
Support client and family with activities at home and when in the community
Safe community access
Manual Handling and assistance with safe transfers
Pay: weekly pay, above award rates
Our ideal support worker will have the following;
- A motivated and compassionate support worker looking to make a meaningful difference to a client with complex care needs.
- Interested in joining a supportive team that values care, respect and teamwork.
- Minimum 1 year experience in disability or complex care
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Disability, Division 2 Nursing or equivalent
- NDIS Screening Clearance
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Current accredited CPR and First aid certificate
Pay: From $36.00 per hour
