Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments that support business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and solutions.
- Manage and optimize cloud environments for performance, security, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor cloud resources and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security and governance standards.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Collaborate with software developers and IT teams to support cloud-native applications.
- Maintain technical documentation and system architecture diagrams.
- Stay current with cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud architecture.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer, or equivalent).
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
