About the role
Coastal Connect is seeking a skilled and reliable Security Installer to join our team in Mandurah, WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality security installation services to our valued clients. As a Security Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and testing of security systems that protect residential and commercial properties. This role is essential to maintaining Coastal Connect's reputation for excellence and ensuring our clients receive dependable security solutions tailored to their needs.
What you'll be doing
- Installing security systems including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access control systems, and monitoring equipment at client locations
- Testing installed security systems to verify proper functionality, integration, and compliance with safety standards
- Configuring security system software and user interfaces to meet client requirements
- Providing clients with comprehensive training on how to operate and maintain their security systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing security system faults and performance issues
- Maintaining accurate records of installations, maintenance work, and system configurations
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices on all job sites
- Communicating professionally with clients to understand their security needs and provide expert recommendations
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in security system installation, ideally with CCTV, alarm systems, or access control systems
- Sound knowledge of security technology standards and industry best practices
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new security systems and software quickly
- Competency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Physical fitness and capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
- Current or willingness to obtain relevant security or electrical certifications
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to health and safety standards
- Valid Security Installer licence (WA)
- Experience with networking and data cabling (advantageous)
