About the role
We're looking for Maintenance Technicians (HcD) to join our growing NSW Mining Services team, supporting customer mining and infrastructure operations across Central West NSW.
In this role, you'll work with Orica's Hypercharge™ units—specialised mobile equipment used in blasting operations. You'll help keep these units operating safely and reliably while providing technical support to both Orica and customer teams.
We know great technicians come from many backgrounds. Whether you've worked in mining, manufacturing, transport, agriculture, construction, defence, automotive, heavy equipment, or another hands-on technical environment, we'd love to hear from you if you have strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem-solving skills.
The role operates on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, providing genuine work-life balance along with a competitive salary package and annual bonus opportunity.
Candidates can be based anywhere in NSW, with company-supported travel, accommodation, and meals provided while on roster.
What you will be doing
Maintaining and supporting Orica's Hypercharge™ units on customer sites;
Performing planned and reactive maintenance activities;
Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or equipment performance issues;
Supporting safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation;
Sharing technical knowledge and providing guidance to equipment users;
Working collaboratively with customers and team members to achieve operational goals;
Following safety, quality, and compliance requirements at all times.
What you will bring
We're interested in your skills, capability, and willingness to learn. You may be a great fit if you have:
Experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, or operating machinery, equipment, vehicles, or plant in any industry;
Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical approach to problem-solving;
Exposure to hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics, or technical equipment (beneficial but not essential);
The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively;
A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement;
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships;
A willingness to learn new equipment and technologies;
The ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including a medical assessment and police clearance.
