Carpenter Job Description
A carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood, steel, plywood, and other building materials. They work from blueprints and technical drawings to complete residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have Cert 3 in Carpentry .
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other building materials.
- Construct wall frames, floors, roofs, staircases, and ceilings.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, skirting boards, and trim.
- Build and install formwork for concrete structures.
- Repair and renovate existing wooden structures.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, workplace safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time.

- Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Excellent measuring, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
