Female Support Worker — Casual (Baldivis)
Opensky Disability Services is seeking experienced, reliable Support Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis, covering Baldivis and Mandurah and surrounding areas. We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL), Individualised Living Options (ILO), Community Participation, and Respite Support to a diverse range of participants, including those with complex care needs.
Position Details
- Employment type: Casual (full-time availability required)
- Locations: Baldivis
- Pay: In accordance with the SCHADS Award, rate dependent on classification/level and experience.
- Applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Shift hours : 7:00Am- 3:00Pm or 3:00Pm to Sleepover
Duties
- Supporting participants with complex care needs
- Daily personal care and personal grooming
- High care assistance (as required)
- Everyday living assistance (meal preparation, household tasks, appointments, etc.)
- Community participation and social access support
- Manual handling and use of mobility equipment/hoists as required
- Accurate documentation and shift notes in line with individual care plans
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, ideally with complex/high care participants
- Current Manual Handling Certificate mandatory
- High care skills such as seizure management, meal time management (desireable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate and other relevant certificates
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Genuine full-time availability
