Site Supervisor – Civil Projects
Perfect Contracting is seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to lead civil project works across Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for a capable Site Supervisor who knows how to run crews, coordinate subcontractors, manage site safety, and keep civil works moving efficiently.
At Perfect Contracting, we deliver a broad range of demolition, civil, remediation, structural alteration, concrete cutting, and construction support services. We work with tier-one builders, government clients, commercial contractors, and major project stakeholders. We are looking for a practical, reliable, and safety-focused supervisor who can lead from the front and deliver quality outcomes on site.
About the Role
As a Site Supervisor – Civil Projects, you will be responsible for supervising daily site operations, coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors, materials, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, leading hands, operators, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with Perfect Contracting’s standards.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, confident with people, and comfortable working in a busy civil construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day civil works on site.
- Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Read and interpret drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and site instructions.
- Manage daily site activities, sequencing, and productivity.
- Lead site crews and subcontractors to maintain quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily checks.
- Monitor WHS, environmental, and quality requirements on site.
- Identify site risks, delays, design issues, access constraints, and resource gaps early.
- Communicate clearly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, clients, and site teams.
- Complete site documentation, daily reports, timesheets, delivery dockets, permits, and quality records.
- Support variations, progress updates, and project close-out requirements.
- Promote Perfect Contracting’s values of Safety, Positivity, and Care across all site activities.
About You
You are a practical and reliable Site Supervisor who knows how to manage people, keep works moving, and maintain high standards on site. You are calm under pressure, confident giving direction, and able to solve problems before they become bigger issues.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Civil Supervisor, Foreman, Leading Hand, or similar role.
- Experience in civil construction, demolition, remediation, infrastructure, bulk excavation, structural works, concrete works, or related construction environments.
- Strong understanding of site safety, sequencing, productivity, and quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications.
- High level of experience with specialised Civil construction machinery and equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate internal crews, subcontractors, plant, materials, and suppliers.
- Good attention to detail with strong follow-through.
- Confidence dealing with clients, engineers, project teams, and site personnel.
- White Card.
- Valid driver licence.
The following will be highly regarded:
- First Aid certificate.
- Excavation, shoring, remediation, demolition, or civil infrastructure experience.
- Tickets for plant or high-risk work.
- Experience working with tier-one builders or government/commercial projects.
- Computer/tablet literacy for site reports, forms, and project documentation.
