About the Role
Schlam has expanded to the Hunter Valley, and we’re seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our team at our Muswellbrook facility. You’ll be working on the mining industry's most advanced and recognised equipment, our Barracuda excavator buckets and Hercules truck bodies.
This is a rare opportunity to get in early with a growing operation, work locally and build a long-term career with an industry leader, now operating on a global scale. Key role responsibilities include;
- Fabricating, welding and assembling buckets and bodies
- Working on premium Barracuda and Hercules products built to outperform
- Interpreting technical drawings and following strict fabrication standards
- Carrying out equipment inspections and maintaining a safe workspace
- Completing all relevant safety and job documentation
About You
- Australian recognised Trade qualified Boilermaker / Welder
- Able to pass an in-house weld test
- Prior experience working on heavy mobile plant repair, maintenance or structural fabrication
- Solid understanding of metal fabrication tools, machinery and safe work practices
- Forklift licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (advantageous)
- Basic Rigging, Dogging, CB Bridge and Gantry Crane (advantageous)
- A strong, proactive attitude with a focus on safety and quality
