Our services include Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetics, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Social Work, Counselling, Audiology, Allied Health Assistance, Developmental Education, Exercise Physiology, Plan Management, NDIS Funding Application Assistance, Support Coordination, Household Tasks, Positive Behaviour Support and Support Worker Service.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team. This role is a subcontractor position, with flexible working hours and opportunities for professional growth.
About the Role
- Deliver mobilefor paediatric and/or adult clients
- Evaluate clients' current physical condition, injuries, and overall health to establish realistic goals and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Create customized exercise plans tailored to each client's specific needs and objectives.
- Delivery of exercise programs for chronic disease prevention and management.
- Guide clients in managing their injuries and recovery processes, promoting self-reliance and independence.
- Track clients' improvements in physical capacity and function, regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and insurers to provide a unified approach to clients' health and wellness goals
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Exercise Physiologist who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Accreditation through Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field accredited by ESSA.
- Strong decision-making and assessment skills, with attention to detail, to tailor and accurately monitor effective treatment plans.
- Empathy and compassion, demonstrating a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
- Understand exercise programs, rehabilitation, and cardiac life support.
- Adaptability and flexibility in exercise and treatment based on client progress and goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
Desirable Criteria:
- At least two years of experience in Exercise Physiology
- A master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology
Additional Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check.
- Reliable access to transportation.
