Connecting Your Care is a boutique NDIS provider based in Adelaide, dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred supports. We carefully match our support workers with participants to build genuine, long-term relationships and consistent care teams.
We are currently seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to support a participant located in Salisbury North.
About the Participant:
You will be supporting a female participant in her 50s with an aquired brain injury & physical support needs. She values consistency, enjoys getting to know her support workers, and prefers a gradual introduction to new staff to build trust and confidence before stepping into the personal care component of her supports.
This role requires someone who is compassionate, patient and confident providing personal care while respecting the participant's dignity, privacy and independence.
Regular Shifts
- Monday: 8am - 1pm - Personal Care / Community Supports Shift
- Monday: 3pm - 5pm
- Saturday: 3pm - 5pm } PM shifts are for general in home supports & night routine
- Sunday: 3pm - 5pm
The weekend shifts are part of the participant's regular ongoing roster. However, we understand that life happens and are happy to work with our team to cover the occasional weekend when sufficient notice is provided.
There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts covering other participants as our service continues to grow.
About the Role
The successful applicant will provide support with:
- Personal care, including showering assistance
- Cleaning and maintaining personal care equipment, including a commode
- Light Manual handling and mobility support
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Community access
- Building a positive, trusting relationship with the participant
- Accurate progress notes and documentation using our support app
Important Information
To ensure applicants have a clear understanding of the working environment:
- There is a friendly dog and cat living inside the home, so applicants must be comfortable working around animals.
- The participant is a smoker and smokes within her bedroom. While she is respectful of support workers and generally smokes when staff are working in other areas of the home, there may occasionally be some residual cigarette smoke present.
Essential Requirements
- Female support worker (participant preference)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience providing personal care, including showering assistance
- Confident supporting participants with physical support needs
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

Pay: $45.00 – $81.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
