About us Cutri Fruit is one of Australia's largest grower, packer and marketer of fresh nectarines, peaches, plums and avocados. About the role Cutri Fruit requires a Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods. This role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations while maintaining the integrity of the cargo and delivering it in a timely manner.
This position reports to the Factory Manager.
Relevant tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
· Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit. Verify the accuracy of paperwork and manifests.
· Plan the most efficient and safe route to the destination, considering factors such as road conditions, weather, and traffic.
· Perform routine inspections of the truck and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
· Maintain accurate records of hours worked, miles driven, and cargo delivered. Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
· Maintain open communication with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.
· Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation industry, including hours of service regulations.
· Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, representing the company in a professional manner.
· Handle emergency situations, such as accidents or breakdowns, following established procedures and ensuring the safety of oneself and others.
· Keep accurate and up-to-date records of work hours, rest breaks, and other required documentation as mandated by regulatory authorities.
Skill Level: At least Cert Il with 1 year work experience OR 2 years employment experience
Salary being offered is between $68,864 to $80,000, dependent on experience.
