The essential requirements for this role are:
Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge, expertise, and skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of effective, evidence-based health promotion solutions to address complex state-wide preventive health policy challenges.
Ability to successfully lead and manage a small team, set direction, motivate, and inspire staff, and promote an environment where staff are valued, developed, and coached to perform at their full potential.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead state-wide strategy development, implementation and monitoring through effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills and through shaping policy and program reforms, driving innovation and enabling quality improvement.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders that contribute to improved health and wellbeing for Queenslanders.
