How you will make an impact
Cabrini’s Food Preparation team is seeking an experienced and motivated Patient Food Services Team Leader to lead our patient food service operations at our Malvern campus. This role is responsible for ensuring staffing requirements meet operational needs for meal data collation, meal delivery, and meal collection, while supporting the delivery of safe, timely, and patient-centred meal services.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, supervise, and develop the patient food services team, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Oversee the delivery of safe, timely, and patient-focused meal services that meet dietary, nutritional, allergy, and texture modification requirements.
Ensure compliance with HACCP standards, food safety regulations, and organisational policies.
Manage staffing, rosters, stock levels, and resources to maintain operational efficiency and budget targets.
Drive excellent customer service by responding to patient feedback and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Support staff training, performance, and ongoing professional development.
Promote a culture of safety, risk management, and quality improvement across all food service operations.
What we’re looking for
Current Food Handlers Certificate.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate of Attainment.
Ongoing commitment to professional development within the catering or food services industry.
Demonstrated experience leading and supervising a team.
Previous experience within a healthcare or hospital environment is highly regarded.
Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service focus and professional approach.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
