We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our amazing team at the CAPS Clinic Private Hospital – Sole’vita. The role will be working closely with the CEO and Director of Surgery to plan, direct and coordinate the clinical and patient services provided by the hospital.
Sole’vita is a licensed and accredited Private Hospital which has been established as a boutique day surgery where services are restricted to only a few specialties and surgeons. Sole’vita has been designed to ensure excellence in clinical care and patient comfort and is committed to providing service in a professional environment, where confidentiality and the needs of the patient are of the highest priority.
About the role:
- Workforce planning for the hospital.
- Manage the team in all areas of clinical rostering.
- Participate in staff development and appraisals.
- Oversee education, clinical competencies and mandatory training.
- Manage the purchasing and management of supplies, contractors and serving agencies.
- National Safety &Quality in Health Care Standards (NSQHS).
- Infection control and Occupational Health and Safety practices.
- Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and protocols.
- Provide leadership strategies to enhance the provision of excellent nursing and clinical care within The CAPS Clinic.
In addition you will:
- Play an integral role in the Executive Management of The CAPS Clinic team.
- Direct all aspects of office management including the provision of surgical lists, and record keeping.
- Be responsible for selection and employment of appropriately experienced personnel.
- Responsible for the management of education programs, development programs, mandatory training and evaluations for the nursing unit, supporting and mentoring colleagues.
- Accountable and responsible for the delegation and supervision of duties performed by clinical nursing staff.
You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
On a daily basis you will liaise with government bodies, medical practitioners and other health professionals.
