We currently have a terrific opportunity for a Team Leader Family Health to join our Family Services Team.
About the Role
As Team Leader - Family Health, you will lead the delivery of Latrobe City Council's Maternal and Child Health and Immunisation services, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and compliant programs that support the health and wellbeing of children and families across the community.
Reporting to the Coordinator Family Health and Development, you will oversee a team of Maternal and Child Health Nurses, Immunisation Nurses and support employees while driving continuous improvement, service innovation and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will provide strategic direction, manage day-to-day service operations, oversee budgets and resources, and build strong relationships with government agencies, community organisations and health service providers. You will play a key role in ensuring services align with legislative requirements, funding guidelines, best practice standards and Council's commitment to delivering exceptional community outcomes.
About You
You are a collaborative and experienced people leader who is passionate about improving health outcomes for children and families. You bring a strong understanding of community health programs, coupled with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage operational priorities and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or a lesser qualification combined with substantial experience delivering family health programs or services within a community setting.
- Proven experience leading, supervising and motivating staff to achieve high-quality service outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of Maternal and Child Health services, immunisation programs and relevant legislative and practice frameworks.
- Experience managing budgets, operational resources and workforce planning activities, including rostering and recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex operational challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
