About the Role:
Join our team at South West 3 as a Registered Nurse in an ongoing part-time position to work at Dandenong Hospital. We currently have multiple temporary parental leave positions available in the ward.
As part of the SW3 team, you will have an opportunity to work with a team of dedicated Nurses, passionate about providing excellent care and committed to being an advocate for patients and their families.
About Us:
South West 3 (SW3) is a 36-bed unit that provides holistic care to elective and emergency trauma Orthopaedic patients.
Patients admitted to SW3 with a wide variety of orthopaedic and acute medical/surgical problems can be discharged to various settings, including home, rehabilitation, other health care services and aged care services
We pride ourselves on the delivery of high-quality care and strive for positive outcomes and experiences for our patients and staff. This is a fast-paced work environment that provides opportunities and challenges for staff.
We are a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team environment who work closely together to care for patients along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about. About You:
To ensure your success in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:
Ideally, you already have orthopaedic experience and are seeking to leverage your skills and experience in a surgical setting. Surgical nursing experience will be highly regarded but is not mandatory.
More important is your caring, passionate and engaging manner, collaborative approach and your ability to lead by example, to deliver efficient patient and family-friendly care.
You are caring, passionate, with an engaging manner, and are excited to play a key role in leading by example to ensure our Orthopaedic Ward is run efficiently.
Using your excellent communication skills, you will be able to work closely with a varied team of Health professionals and entities with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional care and leadership at all times.
You are keen to learn and partake in ward improvement projects, actively seek information, and are eager to work and develop skills in other team members and yourself.
Your positive and proactive attitude towards discharge planning will see you successful in this role.
What You Need:
Willingness to take on a portfolio(s) contributing to ward quality improvements & National Standards
Availability work across a rotating roster and all shifts.
