About the Role
This role involves providing personal care and domestic assistance to clients at home. This includes accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and more. The goal is to assist our clients in enjoying social or recreational activities, building essential life skills, and actively participating in their local community.
Responsibilities
- Providing companion support for social events, recreational or sporting activities.
- Supporting clients in developing new skills through the delivery of client-centered, innovative programs such as arts & craft, music, health & fitness.
- Assisting clients at mealtimes, with personal care needs.
Candidate Preferred Requirements
- Education/Experience in Community Services, Community Welfare, Mental Health, Disability or Nursing Background (Optional)
- Valid NSW Driver’s License & their own vehicle
- Experience supporting complex and challenging behaviours
- Disability / Aged care certificate III /IV (Optional)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or Willing to Obtain)
- NDIS Orientation Module Completion (or Willing to Obtain)
- NSW Working with Children Check
- CPR and First aid certificate (Optional)
- Driving License and Own Car
Candidates must be available to work in Penrith area and Western Sydney Region.
