Position Summary
Ginger Olive is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiter/Bartender to join our front-of-house team. The successful candidate will provide friendly, professional table service while preparing and serving beverages to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, personalised service.
- Present menus, explain dishes and recommend suitable food and beverage options.
- Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain good knowledge of the menu, ingredients, promotions and dietary options.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address requests or concerns.
- Set up, clean and reset tables and service areas.
- Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar.
- Process payments and handle cash responsibly.
- Follow responsible service of alcohol, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar and front-of-house team members.
- Support private functions, group bookings and special events when required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous waiter, bartender or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Cocktail-making and basic wine knowledge are highly regarded.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Confident, friendly and professional presentation.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to teamwork.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Pay: $29.00 – $31.00 per hour
