Contract: Open to both casual and permanent contracts (Full-Time/Part-Time)
WiSE is looking to build out our team of Sonographers for the Caringbah location. As a Sonographer at WiSE Medical, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision and care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical imaging, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The Caringbah location is scheduled to open 7th September 2026. Training will be conducted from early to mid-August in our Macquarie Park location to ensure that our new team are fully equipped and ready for our September grand opening. This role will start in August 2026, official date to be confirmed.
This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check, as well as evidence of immunity to the specific diseases outlined under the NSW Health Category A mandatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Provide high-quality imaging services in various settings, including wards, emergency rooms, and operating rooms.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Manage and respond to patient inquiries and concerns, addressing any complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring adherence to medical and legal standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Academic Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging or equivalent.
- Certifications: Accredited Medical Sonographer (ASAR registered).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Sonographer.
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings, including wards, ER, and operating rooms.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work under pressure in a high-paced environment.
- Proficient in medical terminology and capable of taking initiative in various clinical scenarios.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to coordinate effectively within a team.
