We're excited to welcome a Registered Nurse to the Emergency Department at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). In this role, you will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes. Guided by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, you will deliver high-quality clinical care, exercise professional judgement, and continue developing from a novice to a proficient practitioner with increasing autonomy.
The Registered Nurse plays a key role in coordinating and delivering nursing care, while also contributing to education, research, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
SCUH Emergency Department is a 24-hour Level 5 Emergency Service, providing treatment for a broad range of emergency presentations across adult and paediatric populations. This level of service provides initial assessment and treatment for all emergency presentations, definitive care for many conditions, and resuscitation and stabilisation of adults and children prior to transfer when required.

Key Responsibilities include:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Values.

Salary between $87 368 - $112 064 p.a. or $3348.80- $4295.40 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $44.06 - $56.51 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) Multiple Permanent and/ or Fixed Term Temporary Full-time and/ or Part-time positions available, hours negotiable. ).
