About the role
This is a Salesforce-focused business systems role where you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to improve, optimise, and enhance Salesforce. Rather than being a developer, you'll primarily configure and extend the platform using Salesforce's low-code capabilities, ensuring it continues to meet business needs and deliver an exceptional user experience.
The role also has ownership of Salesforce data quality, security, reporting, automation, and platform governance. You'll help design scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, while supporting ongoing releases, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll play a key role in improving business processes, driving platform adoption, enhancing customer and partner experiences, and ensuring Salesforce remains secure, reliable, and aligned to organisational objectives.
What you’ll do
You'll act as the bridge between the business and technology teams, gathering requirements, running workshops, designing solutions, and translating business challenges into scalable Salesforce configurations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Lead functional solution design, configuration, and enhancement activities across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Design and maintain Salesforce data models, security frameworks, sharing settings, and platform governance controls.
- Configure and optimise workflows, automation, reporting, dashboards, and user experiences using Salesforce's low-code capabilities.
- Manage and enhance customer and partner portals within Experience Cloud, including branding, audience targeting, and access controls.
- Deliver platform improvements and release activities in line with business priorities and project roadmaps.
- Monitor platform performance, investigate issues, analyse debug logs, and work with technical teams to resolve system and automation-related problems.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, platform reliability, security, and compliance with Salesforce best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve user adoption, operational efficiency, reporting capability, and business outcomes.
You will bring
While this is not a heavy development role, you'll need enough technical understanding to read Apex code, interpret debug logs, investigate issues, and work effectively with technical teams when required. You'll also bring:
- Experience delivering Salesforce solutions in a functional, administrator, platform specialist, consultant, or business systems role.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud configuration and administration.
- Experience with process automation, Flows, security models, reporting, dashboards, and data management.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, running workshops, and translating business needs into practical Salesforce solutions.
- Experience building, managing, and enhancing customer or partner portals using Experience Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and platform best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot platform issues using debug logs, developer tools, and basic Apex or SOQL interpretation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Salesforce Administrator certification and relevant Salesforce Cloud certifications will be highly regarded.
Nice to have
This position would suit an experienced Salesforce Administrator, Functional Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, CRM Specialist, or Platform Specialist who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, solving business problems, and driving meaningful business outcomes through technology. Experience supporting Salesforce release management, environments, CI/CD processes, and platform governance would be advantageous.
