About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, top-tier Academic Tutors / Teaching Assistants across Mathematics, Science, English, and Humanities (Pre-VCE to VCE levels) to conduct focused small group classes and 1v1 support sessions.
This role offers the perfect balance of flexibility and reward. You will face zero lesson-planning pressure or heavy administrative paperwork. Your main mission is to leverage your own VCE success strategies to close learning gaps, mark homework line-by-line, and build bubbly rapport with young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver supportive assistance for small group classes.
- Conduct line-by-line marking and provide detailed corrections for weekly homework list.
- Lead 1v1 online academic workshop sessions to close individual student learning gaps.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries across all communication channels, providing accurate explanations independently or with support from leading educators.
- Administer assessment tests, grade mock exams, and record diagnostic error data.
- Coordinate with Campus Advisors to provide clear learning updates to parents.
- Maintain strict Child Safe Standards to ensure a secure, encouraging learning environment.
Skills & Requirements
- Valid Australian work rights with stable availability.
- Achieved a VCE raw study score of 45+ in relevant subjects, or an overall ATAR of 99.00+.
- Active enrollment in or graduation from an elite university (e.g., University of Melbourne, Monash University is preferrable.
- Possess exceptional bilingual alignment with strong verbal output and logical expression in both English and Mandarin.
- Meticulous organizational skills with a strong "can-do" attitude.
- Engaging personality, exceptional patience, and a high level of respect for young people，bringing a positive influence to students.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to build strong relationships with parents and students.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and after-school hours.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
