We are expanding our workforce due to growth in our Surface drilling operations and are currently taking applications for a Field Trainer with a strong commitment to Health & Safety and teamwork. This is an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Want to know a bit more?
- Deliver training and assessment aligned with nationally recognised qualifications, site and client requirements
- Facilitate mostly practical, on-site training sessions and be confident with classroom delivery as required
- Conduct competency assessments and maintain accurate training records
- Develop and update training materials and resources
- Provide coaching and support to trainees and operational crews from offsiders to competent drillers
- Ensure compliance with WHS, company policies, and regulatory standards
- Liaise with supervisors and stakeholders to identify training needs
- Participate in continuous improvement of training programs
- FIFO role (8:6 ideally) – occasional travel to support operations across the East Coast of Australia
A few things we’re looking for:
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in drilling operations (e.g. prior drilling experience or experience as drill trainer)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) – essential
- Strong understanding of competency-based training and assessment principles
- Experience working in mining, civil, or resources environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in remote or site-based environments
Desirable
- Current industry tickets (e.g. Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience in RTO or compliance-driven training environments
- High Risk Work Licence (if applicable)

This is a FIFO field-based role that partners with operational leaders to manage EHS risk in the workplace, through implementation of our EHS management systems and programs. Building a successful relationship with our customers is crucial in delivering a strong EHS culture in the field.
