We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented immigration lawyer to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients across a broad range of Australian immigration matters, including skilled migration, family visas, employer-sponsored visas, partner visas, citizenship, visa refusals, cancellations, and merits review applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on Australian immigration and migration law.
- Prepare and lodge visa, citizenship, and sponsorship applications.
- Represent clients before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) and courts where required.
- Prepare legal submissions, affidavits, and supporting documentation.
- Advise clients on visa refusals, cancellations, and review options.
- Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs and other government agencies.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with legislative and policy changes.
- Manage a diverse caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and excellent service.
About You
- Admitted legal practitioner in Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Australian immigration and migration law (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Australian migration legislation and policy.
- Experience appearing before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is highly regarded.
- Excellent drafting, research, advocacy, and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters independently.
