A qualified carpenter is a tradesperson who has completed a recognized carpentry qualification (such as a Certificate III in Carpentry in Australia) and is skilled in constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining timber structures and building components.
Typical responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications.
Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other building materials.
Constructing wall frames, roofs, floors, staircases, and decks.
Installing doors, windows, skirting boards, cabinets, and other fittings.
Carrying out renovations, repairs, and maintenance work.
Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Following workplace health and safety regulations.
Working with builders, site supervisors, and other trades to complete projects on time
Pay: $5,800.00 – $8,300.00 per month
