The Motor Mechanic position involves utilising your technical skills and trade experience to inspect, diagnose, service, repair, and maintain various motor vehicles and Ground Support Equipment. The role requires the maintenance and repair of vehicle engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension systems, braking systems, and other mechanical components to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
Your role involves following service schedules, manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and repair procedures while carrying out maintenance and fault-finding activities to a professional trade standard. The variety of vehicles and the unique nature of aviation Ground Support Equipment provide an excellent opportunity to apply and further develop a broad range of automotive mechanical skills and experience.
Position Requirements:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or relevant automotive qualifications.
- Trade experience as a Motor Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably involving motor vehicles or Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle mechanical systems and components.
- Current driver's licence.
- Proficiency in English language and literacy skills.
- Ability to undertake ASIC background checks for security access.
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment.
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
