About the Role: This is a full-time mixed practice position involving:
Small Animal Duties
- General small animal consultations
- Preventative health care and medicine
- Routine soft tissue surgery and desexing
- Diagnostics and case work-ups
- Emergency and after-hours care as part of the on-call roster
Large Animal & Equine Duties,
- Dairy and beef herd health management
- Pregnancy testing, both manual and ultrasound
- Calving assistance and reproductive work
- Equine examinations and field work-ups
- Treatment and management of livestock and other farm animals
- Farm visits and preventative herd health programs
About You - We are looking for a veterinarian who:
- Holds or is eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria
- Has at least 1 year clinical experience as mixed practice veterinarian
- Enjoys both companion animal and large animal practice
- Is confident working independently in the field
- Has strong communication and client relationship skills
- Is willing to participate in an after-hours and on-call roster
- Has a practical and positive attitude toward rural mixed practice
Annual wage: Award rates with annual salary range of $75,000 - $95,000
Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
