The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Design Lead to join our Melbourne Civil Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical design. As the Design Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of design within our projects. You’ll be exposed to a range of integrated projects in the land subdivision market and enjoy true diversity in your work. This role will see you:
- Drive project performance and service delivery through positive technical outcomes for the client
- Proactively identify and resolve technical design issues with the client and wider design team and manage design interface
- Lead a design team to successfully deliver projects to the satisfaction of client and authority requirements
- Collaborate with interstate teams, multidisciplinary consultants and engineering professionals across the business on projects.
About You
A qualified and experienced Senior Civil Engineer, you have previously worked on complex masterplanned communities and subdivision projects and your skills managing design challenges are second to none. You will come to us with:
- Relevant Qualifications in Civil Engineering
- High proficiency with AutoCAD and 12D
- Deep knowledge of, and well-connected networks within the land subdivision market in Victoria
- Experience, or an interest in, operating in a multidisciplinary consultancy
- A proactive attitude and desire to take on new challenges
- The ability to work autonomously, managing priorities across multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
