Forensicare is seeking approximately 18 Enrolled Nurses to join a dedicated intake commencing 7 September through a structured transition program designed to support your move into the specialist field of forensic mental health nursing. As Victoria's specialist provider of forensic mental health services, Forensicare delivers care across hospital, prison and community settings, supporting people with complex mental health needs within the justice system.
The Role
Based at Thomas Embling Hospital, Fairfield, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing recovery-focused care to consumers within a secure forensic mental health setting.
In this role you will:
- Support the assessment, planning and delivery of patient care
- Administer medications within scope of practice
- Participate in therapeutic and rehabilitation activities
- Help create a safe and therapeutic environment
- Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with consumers
- Work alongside experienced Registered Nurses and allied health professionals
- Contribute to consumer recovery through engagement and person-centred care
About You
You will bring:
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Experience in healthcare settings, with mental health experience viewed favourably but not essential for the right candidate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for supporting people in their recovery journey
- A commitment to person-centred care
- An interest in mental health and forensic healthcare
