About Us
James Street Vet Hospital is known for community trust and delivering a high standard of veterinary care across Logan and surrounding suburbs. Our large modern facilities include spacious reception, 4 consult rooms, large treatment room, two surgical theatres, dental suite, lab and pharmacy, separate cat and dog wards — plus PM office, boardroom, staff kitchen and wellness room, along with off street parking.
Our four veterinarians work alongside our nursing and client care team. We offer routine GP services along with Urgent Care and Advanced Surgery.

About The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where your success comes from planning and coordinating the day-to-day operations, people and services of the clinic. You’ll work closely with your Lead Vet and Nurse Manager with support from your Regional Manager to build a high-performing, positive, and engaged hospital environment.
You will enjoy a varied role that includes:

Overseeing all business operations and veterinary services

Leading on employee matters including recruitment, workforce planning, wellbeing, performance, and development

Supporting client experience, loyalty initiatives, and service growth

Contributing to marketing, digital services, and social media presence

Managing budgets, stock control, procurement, and accounts

Ensuring WHS compliance, facilities, equipment and presentation standards

Supporting strategic direction and continuous improvement

Championing new initiatives, projects, and technology

Leading with transparency, collaboration, and a sense of fun
About You
-
Previous management experience desirable (training and support provided)

Minimum 5 years veterinary nursing experience preferred but not essential

Passion for high standards of animal care and client services
-
Confident with practice management systems (we use EzyVet and Vetstoria)

Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
-
Good understanding of workplace health & safety and employee obligations
-
Warm, genuine leadership style — you enjoy supporting people who care for animals
