Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and continuous support in accordance with the individualised care plan.
- Assist with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, and comfort.
- Support seizure management and monitor for changes in health or behaviour.
- Assist with PEG feeding and follow all nutritional and hydration requirements as directed.
- Provide appropriate skin care and pressure-area care.
- Support pain management strategies and promptly report changes in pain or discomfort.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to agitation, distress, and behavioural fluctuations.
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Encourage meaningful engagement through music, family interaction, outdoor activities, and other preferred activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely care documentation and incident reporting.
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team.
- Follow all medication, infection-control, manual-handling, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience supporting people with complex disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
- Experience with PEG feeding and seizure management is highly desirable.
- Understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive during changes in behaviour or medical presentation.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and respectful approach.
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans.
- Relevant disability/healthcare qualifications and required clearances.

Pay: $36.10 – $40.10 per hour
