We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our professional team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad client base while contributing to the delivery of high-quality accounting and taxation services.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of business and individual clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Preparing statutory financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other management reports.
- Examining accounting records, financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST returns, payroll tax returns, and other statutory reports.
- Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to maintain data integrity.
- Analysing financial information and identifying trends, risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial performance analysis.
- Maintaining and improving accounting systems, financial processes, and internal controls to support effective financial management.
- Liaising with clients, the Australian Taxation Office, and other regulatory authorities regarding accounting matters.
- Assisting with audits, reviews, and compliance activities as required.
Ideal candidate for this role
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or related field
- At least one year of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in Xero, MYOB, Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with clients
- Self-motivated and team player
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
- Multi-lingual in Chinese/English is desirable
