Day to-day tasks include assisting a qualified auto electrician while learning the trade. Typical duties include:
- Diagnosing electrical faults
- Testing and replacing batteries.
- Repairing or replacing wiring, connectors, fuses, relays, and switches.
- Installing accessories
- Servicing and repairing: starter motors, alternators, lighting systems, engine management systems, air conditioning electrical components
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Keeping the workshop clean and maintaining tools.
- Customer service and teamwork.
Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
