Yarralumla Nursery is the largest wholesale nursery in the Southern Tablelands and sells high quality, competitively priced plants for wholesale and retail industries including Landscapers, Landcare groups and local and state governments. The Nursery propagates and grows over 300,000 cool climate plants annually from its own plant stock and seed bank including local, rare, and endangered species.
We currently have a short-term position as a team leader in our production team.
The Production Horticulturist is responsible for growing plants using a range of techniques, including machine and hand potting, plant maintenance, and irrigation management. The role also includes day‑to‑day supervision of a small team of staff, apprentices, and volunteers by providing clear direction, support, and guidance.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 6 October 2026 until 9 April 2027 with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months for positions in both the sales and production teams.
