With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we are expanding our team and seeking a Software Implementation Consultant based out of our Craigieburn, Melbourne office to drive successful software deployments by translating business needs into effective technical solutions, supporting growth and scalability for the organization.
About the role
We are looking for an Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance while supporting business operations with accurate financial insights. The role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing costs, maintaining accounting systems and internal controls, and providing financial advice to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with budgeting and developing accounting policies to support business operations.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management, directors, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Carry out audits, financial reviews, and investigations, while providing advice on business sales.
- Monitor business income, expenses, and operating costs to improve overall financial performance.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with legal and statutory requirements.
- Provide financial and tax advice to support business planning and decision-making.
- Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Work closely with banks, brokers, and financial institutions to arrange and manage funding.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems, including recommending suitable accounting software.
- Review and update internal systems, processes, and company policies to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and financial information.
- Monitor and maintain inventory records, ensuring stock books are accurate and up to date.
- Review cash flow and assess financial risks related to business investments.
- Train and support junior staff to build their skills and improve team performance.
- Attend weekly interdepartmental meetings to discuss progress, issues, and business updates.
Relevant skills required for this role:
- 2+ year's experience
- Relevant accounting qualifications completed within Australia e.g. completed Bachelor of Commerce
- Strong attention to detail and strong communication
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Team player
- Experience creating detailed Workpapers advantageous
- CA studies in progress or completed advantageous

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
