MyDressbox is Australia's leading bridal aftercare specialist. Every month we care for hundreds of wedding gowns, helping brides clean, restore and protect one of the most important garments they will ever own.
We're looking for a hands-on Bridal Laundry & Quality Control Specialist to join our growing Melbourne team.
This role would suit someone with experience in laundry, wet cleaning, dry cleaning, garment care, alterations, textiles or quality control who takes pride in doing things properly and has an exceptional eye for detail.
About the Role
This is a specialist garment care role focused on wedding dresses and delicate garments.
You'll be responsible for cleaning, stain treatment, garment inspection and quality control, ensuring every gown meets MyDressbox standards before it is returned to the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect wedding gowns before and after cleaning
- Perform stain treatment and specialist garment cleaning
- Follow garment-specific cleaning procedures and quality standards
- Identify quality issues and ensure they are resolved before dispatch
- Carry out final quality control inspections
- Assist with garment processing, handling and packaging
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Work closely with the operations team to maintain high standards across all garments processed
About You
You are someone who notices details others miss.
You take pride in producing high-quality work, enjoy solving problems and are comfortable taking ownership of outcomes. You enjoy working with garments, identifying issues and delivering exceptional results.
Experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- Laundry or wet cleaning
- Dry cleaning
- Bridal or formalwear
- Alterations or dressmaking
- Textile manufacturing
- Garment quality control
- Fashion or apparel production
