Support the manager in delivery of high quality end-to-end payroll processing, systems and payment services for the department.
Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory standards and prescribed requirements.
Develop, implement and monitor operational team procedures, controls and performance measures to ensure accurate and timely payroll service delivery.
Develop, implement and manage workflows to optimise performance, monitor volumes, maintain internal controls, and ensure high standards of accuracy, efficiency and economy.
Monitor, interpret and communicate key human resource developments across the department to ensure operational practices are kept up-to-date.
Support an inclusive and customer centric culture by mentoring and coaching team members through professional development to enhance their skills. Drive continuous improvement, personal growth, and build a resilient and capable workforce.
Support informed decision-making and accountability through expert payroll advice to management, stakeholders, and customers on operational matters in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, procedures and directives.
Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, partners and customers.
Support process improvement and optimisation, ensuring continuously improvement to increase operational accuracy, efficiency and economy.
