About the role
Join our Waste & Cleansing team as a Business Support Officer and play a key role in providing high-quality business, project and administrative support. Working closely with the Group Manager and broader team, you will help drive the efficient delivery of essential operational services across our City.
In this role you will:
- Provide high-quality administrative, business and project support within a busy and collaborative team.
- Coordinate service requests, communications, meetings and team activities, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
- Support operational service delivery through reporting, payment processing, project coordination and business administration activities.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence initiatives.

About you
The successful candidate is an organised and proactive professional who enjoys supporting others and thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring a customer-focused mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
You will also bring:
- Experience providing administrative, business or project support in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across a diverse range of people.
- Proven experience coordinating activities, supporting projects and managing sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Well-developed organisational, problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to use initiative and deliver outcomes in a busy environment.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in service request and procurement systems, including TechOne, Pathway and other Council systems.
The ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and a high standard of service delivery

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements in the Position Description , including the below Qualifications/Licences:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Administration (or related discipline) or a significant amount of comparable industry experience in an administrative or trade support capacity
