About the role:
Join SafeWork NSW as a Senior People & Culture Business Partner and make a difference by partnering with business leaders to shape a high-performing, accountable and inclusive workforce. In this strategic advisory role, you’ll provide expert guidance across a range of workforce, culture and people management matters using a portfolio model. You’ll also play a key role in supporting senior leaders to build capability and lead cultural and organisational change in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will:
- Provide tailored, strategic people and culture advice to senior leaders and people leaders.
- Coach and uplift leadership capability, equipping leaders to confidently manage complex employee relations matters and navigate difficult conversations.
- Lead complex and sensitive people matter, including workplace investigations, formal grievances, and performance management, applying sound judgement and discretion.
- Provide expert advice on award interpretation and employment legislation to identify employee relations risks and ensure compliant, fair, and balanced outcomes.
- Support in implementing People & Culture initiatives that support the strategic priorities of the organisation.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes through strong engagement, credibility, and business understanding.
- Collaborate across the People & Culture team to co‑design and deliver best practice workforce solutions, maintaining consistency and quality in service delivery across the organisation.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering high performance and continuous growth.
- Promote and embed inclusive and innovative workforce practices across your client portfolio.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve issues.

Confidence in coaching and supporting senior leaders through sensitive and complex people matters.

Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex and sensitive people matters, including workplace investigations, formal grievance processes, and performance management, exercising sound judgement and discretion.

Expertise in award interpretation and employment act, applying legislative knowledge to advise on employee relations risks and deliver compliant, fair, and balanced outcomes.

Experience supporting organisational change, including planning and implementing workforce transitions and restructures in line with policy and operational requirements

A track record of successfully leading people-related projects from design to evaluation.

A customer-focused approach and the ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.

Experience managing a small team
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in human resources, organisational development and/or relevant industry experience.
