We're seeking a HR Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting leaders and teams across Customer Service, Sales, Operations & Logistics.
This is a role for a seasoned HR practitioner who can quickly build credibility, navigate complexity and provide practical, commercially focused advice from day one.
About the Opportunity
This is a true business partnering opportunity where you'll support leaders across Customer Service, Sales, Operations & Logistics, providing both strategic and hands-on HR support. You'll play a key role in strengthening leadership capability, driving people initiatives and providing trusted advice across a broad range of employee and industrial relations matters.
The successful candidate can be based from Scoresby, Yarraville or Craigieburn, but must be flexible with travel across sites and occasional interstate travel required
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across Operations, Logistics, Customer Service and Sales to deliver proactive HR support and advice.
- Partner with leaders to navigate complex people matters and achieve practical, fair and commercially sound outcomes.
- Provide expert Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advice across a unionised workforce, including Enterprise Agreement interpretation and negotiations.
- Coach and develop leaders to effectively manage people, performance and workplace issues.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation, HR policies, compliance and risk management.
- Support organisational and workforce initiatives including talent management, succession planning and recruitment activities.
- Analyse HR metrics and trends to provide business insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with specialist functions including Payroll, HRIS, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who can quickly build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels and provide practical people solutions that support business performance.
You'll bring:
- Significant HR Business Partner experience across the employee lifecycle supporting operational businesses.
- Demonstrated success partnering with leaders across areas such as Operations, Logistics, Customer Service or Sales.
- Provide expert advice and support across a broad range of employee relations and workplace matters.
- Partner with leaders to navigate people challenges and deliver practical, commercially sound outcomes
- Proven ability to work effectively with employee representatives and unions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen and practical problem-solving capability.
- Outstanding communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- The confidence to operate independently and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, IR or a related discipline.
