We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cafe Chef to join our busy and friendly café team.
About the Role
As a Cafe Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety and kitchen standards. You will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu items to a high standard
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Manage food preparation, stock rotation, and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with stock ordering, stocktaking, and inventory control
- Minimise food wastage and control kitchen costs
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Support and train junior kitchen staff when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant, or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak periods
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations

Pay: $56,450.07 – $85,413.99 per year
