Golding is currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join our team based in our Milton office in Brisbane.
To excel in this role, proficiency in SAP is essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and experience in payroll administration within a project-based organisation operating under a range of industrial agreements. Being proactive, organised and adaptable is critical, as you will be working as part of a small team.
Golding offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home 1–2 days per week, subject to agreement with your manager.
- Establishing, amending and terminating employee records within SAP Payroll in accordance with authorised contractual documentation and your delegated authority.
- Preparing payroll payments to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Resolving and responding to payroll queries in a timely manner within your delegated authority, and escalating matters to your Supervisor or Manager where they fall outside your level of authority.
- Undertaking tasks assigned by your Supervisor associated with end-of-month (EOM) and end-of-year (EOY) transactions and reporting.
- Providing payroll advice to Golding Managers and Supervisors to improve the quality of payroll administration activities, including the input and release of payroll data in SAP and other applications.
- Taking the necessary measures to ensure all payroll obligations are met.
- Producing payroll reports as required by Managers and as authorised by your Supervisor and Manager.
- Previous experience in a multi-site organisation is highly desirable.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in SAP.
