When you join MercyCare, you become part of something bigger than a job. You join a community of people who show up for Western Australians at the moments that matter most - from early learning and disability support, to family, community and aged care services. We live by our values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice, excellence and courage, and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and vulnerable people in our community.
About the role
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for communications, engagement and a nose for a great story? This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a role where no two days are the same.
You'll work across the organisation to uncover and shape compelling stories, bringing them to life for both our people and the wider community. Internally, you'll create engaging content that strengthens culture, keeps our workforce connected and supports organisational goals. Externally, you'll identify and develop story opportunities that showcase our impact, our people and our work in the community.
You'll partner with teams across the business to surface the human stories, milestones and moments of impact that matter, and find the right channel to tell them, whether that's an intranet post, a digital communication, a campaign or a brand story ready for media. You'll also play a role in bringing key organisational events to life, helping create moments that celebrate and connect our people.
You'll be encouraged to think proactively, spot emerging opportunities to build brand awareness, and help position us as a trusted voice in aged care, early learning, disability and community services.
About you
You're a creative thinker who enjoys finding new ways to connect with people and bring ideas to life. With a proactive approach, you'll identify opportunities to grow brand awareness, enhance employee engagement and expand community reach.
You'll be skilled at building and nurturing strong stakeholder relationships, spotting opportunities to generate interest and engagement, and turning insights into meaningful communications and campaigns. Most importantly, you'll bring fresh ideas, initiative and a passion for creating positive impact.
In addition, you will also possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, PR, Marketing or Community Relations strongly preferred
- Experience in the development and implementation of communication strategies
- Ability to foster a positive culture and support stakeholders
- You’ll be able to manage your time effectively and organise your day to ensure deadlines are met and stakeholder experience is positive
- Experience across digital platforms such as Wordpress, Campaign monitor and sharepoint is desirable
- Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
